The Artemide Mercury LED Ceiling Light is a large, glossy and ultra-modern fixture designed to resemble droplets of mercury in suspension. The two bottom-most droplets house energy efficient LEDs. The uplight bounces off of the other aluminum droplets and is reflected back downward by the stainless steel reflector/canopy. Designed by Ross Lovegrove. Since 1959, Artemide has created a wide array of modern table lamps, floor lamps, wall sconces and suspensions. Technologically advanced, and with styles ranging from clean and refined to sculptural and avant garde, many Artemide designs--especially the Tolomeo and Tizio--have become icons of contemporary lighting design.

I've only had this Mercury LED Ceiling Light by Artemide for about two weeks. I suppose I'll have to play with it some more to get the feel for it. In the meantime, it satisfies my need for a close to ceiling lights
